Research shows that playing is a way for children to learn about the world, bond with their caregivers, and express their creativity. We work with Tutor Time International Nursery & Kindergarten to bring authentic play experiences without electronics or screens, harnessing the power of age-appropriate play to activate children’s natural curiosity at each stage of development. 

Frances and Darien have always had a passion for all things related to early childhood education and design. In university, Darien participated in various child development research projects with his professors. The consistent theme throughout the studies highlighted just how important the first three years of life is on future brain development and learning.

In 2017, after returning to Hong Kong, Frances and Darien had a chance to work on a project with Tutor Time International Nursery & Kindergarten. During this time, they witnessed how the teachers created unique tools and activities to engage young children. It was then they had the idea - Why not utilize their expertise to create a version of these tools that parents can use at home to make the most out of these first years of development?

Shortly after, Darien and Frances partnered with Tutor Time International Nursery and Kindergarten, and Learning Time was born.

The launch of LT’s first baby play program subscription service in collaboration with Tutor Time International Nursery & Kindergarten - the first of its kind in Asia. 

After their first product line sold out, they launched an improved version in 2020, which also sold out in a year.

Worked in collaboration with educators, therapists, and parents to develop the Emomo Kit, aimed at promoting social and emotional learning in kids as young as 2. 

Launch of The Emomo Kit and The Together Time Project. LT works with The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong to donate 1 Emomo Kit to low-income households for every 3 kits sold.

Won the Gold Award at the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards for The Emomo Kit

 After years of iterating their original baby play program subscription, they launched The Baby Kits Play Program. With hours poured into reviewing feedback, design, safety-testing, and optimizing each kit, The Baby Kits Play Program is now one of LT’s flagship collections.

Won the Bronze Award at the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards for The Tummy Time Kit.
